The shooting for Heroine (2012) is in full force. Recently Kareena Kapoor shot for item song Halkat Jawani. Rumors have it that Kareen will perform two item songs in the movie. The music has been composed by Salim Sulaiman. Halkat is a Mumbaiya slang which loosely translated is 'Nasty' or 'Mischievous' in English. The movie also stars Arjun Rampal. The movie was originall offered to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan but she had to opt out because of pregnancy. Kareena later stepped in.

One of the most awaited lovemaking scenes on Indian television may have turned out to be a few blink and miss moments of action, but it shows that TV show directors and storytellers are willing to tackle the issue. Many watched the actors Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar have their suhaag raat on Bade Achhe Lagte Hain’s Monday night episode. News has it that the 23rd film of the Bond series may be shot in and around Mumbai. The movie will star Daniel Craig as super spy James Bond. The movie is scheduled to star shooting later this year with tentative release in November 2012. The movie may shoot in Mumbai as well as Goa. This is not the first time a Bond movie has taken place in India. The 1983 release, Octopussy, the 13th film in the Bond series, was shot in Agra and Udaipur.

On Monday, Mumbai city’s transport system were strangulated by the rain that fell over the weekend. Suburban trains on all the three lines, Central, Western and Harbour, came to a standstill. With visibility levels falling below 450 metres, air traffic in the two city airports were halted. A portion of a small hill near the city's famous Haji Ali Dargah collapsed; one person has died.

Saavn the music streaming radio service that provides Bollywood music, Indian music and regional South Asian music has tied up with Facebook to provide music. The integration began in December 2011 which has already brought more than 7,00,000 new Facebook users to Saavn. Saavn license music from over 200 providers, and have more than a million songs licensed. The service is free and makes its money through targeted display and rich media ad units.

It seems that scientists have created the first artificial leaf which can take sunlight and water to create energy similar to the regular plant we know of. The leaf was developed by a team at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The leaf is made from silicon, electronics and various catalysts which spur chemical reactions within the device which allow it to use sunlight to break water into hydrogen and oxygen which can then be used to create electricity in a separate fuel cell. The scientists used some inexpensive, common catalysts including nickel and cobalt.

The Blackberry PlayBook has confirmed its spec and launch date. RIM has announced that The Blackberry PlayBook will sale for $499 for 16GB, $599 with 32GB and $699 for 64GB versions, all come with WiFi. The Blackberry PlayBook will be released in the US and Canadian stores on April 19, 2011, while the UK will get the Blackberry PlayBook in the 2nd quatar of this year. The Blackberry PlayBook includes 1GHz dual-core processor, 7” 1024x600 WSVGA capacitive LCD touch screen, Dual cameras capable of recording full 1080p footage, 1GB of RAM, GPS, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and a Digital Compass.

A New Jersey native mother gave birth to a baby on the PATH commuter to New York. 31 year old woman, Rabita Sarkar, was going to get a check up in Manhattan, since the baby wasn't due yet, but I guess the baby was faster then the train. An elderly woman instructed the first time father through the process of the delivery. The baby came out safely, one young girl offered her coat to keep the baby warm as the biggest concern for officials was the baby's warmth. What another miraculous event in the world!

Indian star Sania Mirza and her doubles Australian partner Anastasia Rodionova won the women's doubles final of the Pattaya Open tennis championship in Thailand. Sania Mirza of India and Australian Anastasia Rodionova beat H. Chan and Yung-ja Chan of Taipei 3-6, 6-1, 10-8. The top-seeded duo of Sania and Anastasia rallied well from a first-set deficit. This happens to be the 13th WTA title for the Sania Mirza and the first for 2012. Sania is ranked World No 7 in women's double has a chance to compete in the 2012 London Olympics.

Indore, India. Indian opener Virender Sehwag smashed record 219 against West Indies in the 4th ODI being played at Indore, India. Sehwag's 219 is the highest score in one-day cricket. His 219 came of just 149 balls, with 25 boundaries and seven sixes, to lift India to their best one day total of 418 for 5, while the West Indies were bowled out for 265. Sehwag joined teammate Sachin Tendulkar as the only batsmen in history to score double-centuries in the 50-over format. Debutant leg-spinner Rahul Sharma picked up three wickets in his first three overs.

After nine years of 0 playoff appearances, the 49ers made the NFL playoffs this year, got the first round bye, and beat the best offense in the NFL, New Orleans Saints, all under rookie head coach, Jim Harbaugh. It was a down to the wire high scoring match in which both teams had their ups and downs throughout the game. Both teams scored two TDs in the final 4 minutes, including the game winner by Alex Smith to Vernon Davis in the final grueling seconds of the game. Vernon Davis had a career day, 180 yards and two important touchdowns. Drew Brees had 462 yards and 4 touchdowns but he wasn't enough to overcome a stingy 49ers front seven as he was sacked 3 times.

The Packers' hopes for an undefeated football season come to an end as the Chiefs, led by interim Romeo Crennel shockingly beat the Pack 14-19. Nothing was perfect for the perfectionists throughout the game as Kyle Orton out played elite QB Aaron Rodgers throwing for 299 yards while spreading it around to 10 different receivers. Rodgers was horrendous, 17 of 35 for 235 yards and one touchdown, he also ran for one as well. The Chiefs weak front 7 battered Aaron Rodgers, he was sacked 4 times, 3 of which were by LB Tamba Hali, who has more than half of the teams sacks. It was ironic that the Colts (1-13) won for the first time in the season against the Tennessee Titans.

The NBA league is not allowing the Lakers to complete a trade that would give them all star Point Guard Chris Paul, but it will cost them two valuable big men Pau Gasol and Lamar Odom. David Stern killed the deal this morning, but sources say that both teams have resumed talks. This is a blockbuster trade and it involves many all star players so let's what has to say later tonight or tomorrow.
